Friday nights at Ten are a hit or miss. Ten the last couple of years have been known to have a weak Friday party. More of Drum and Bass or other Gene of music but not Trance. However, I noticed that Ten is making an effort this last couple of months throwing great Friday night parties such as A&B last Friday and other great parties in the next several Fridays.
The other fact that's not known to many peeps here on TA is that almost 50% of the regulars at Ten are from the South Bay. Most peeps from the South Bay do not want to make the drive to the City on both weekend nights. They rather stay in San Jose to party on Fridays and save the drive to the city the next night. But ofcourse if there is a good event at Ruby, who's known to have good parties on a Friday the south bay folks will do the City on both nights. Everyone just needs to know that Ten is a good place to party now on Fridays.
Max Graham and George Acosta played on a Friday night a couple of months ago and I saw like 30 people on the dance floor for the 2nd hour of George Acosta's set. Very disappointing!
The other things is, why close at 4am on Fridays? I bet the people at A&B last Friday wanted more from Taj. I know End Up is next door but I rather stay in one spot.
I hope I can make it back to the Bay Area for this event. I remember the last time Thomas Datt played at the basement a few months ago on a Friday night and he rocked it. It was a thin crowd and but I personally grabbed about 30 people from the main floor and dragged them down the basement to let them hear Thomas Datt and everyone was very impressed. Btw, most of us were ASIANs but NONE of us do the Fcukn Spin Cycle. For the record "Not All Asians are made by MayTag!"
