My favorite Digweed moment is still MMII. When "I Have Put Out The Lights" first comes on, I close my eyes and am one with the universe. Metaphorically speaking of course.

How funny that we have a thread about Digweed and a thread about Sasha at the same time. Must say that Digweed never fails to disappoint me. He has real power in his music. A true talent in our scene.

He was stale as all fuck last time I saw him. What can you say though? He's old and tired.

If you would like to add some official Digweed releases to your collection and get an idea as to what the Digweed of today sounds like, I would recommend checking out Fabric 20 and Transitions, volume 2, both of which will give you a good idea as to his latest stylistic inclinations. Fabric 20 isn't the most recent material from Digweed, but he hasn't deviate much from the sound you find on that album, plus, it's one of the best Digweed mix comps I've ever heard! I only picked volume 2 because I find it to be the best of his three "Transitions" mix comps.

Also, it doesn't hurt to check out his weekly radio broadcast, "Transitions."

I really need to revisit that release. A friend of mine made a similarly amazed remark about that track as found on that release, but I don't at all recall it standing out to me the first time I heard it, and still couldn't relate to his sentiments upon my second listen.

Well, third time's the charm.

I got the chance to check him out for the first time in my life in Cleveland this year.......was not very impressed with the set, although, the 1999 Essential Mix makes up for it

MMII is one of my favorite albums of all time... lots of really haunting and melodic tracks on that one, only weak point is the Sean Cusick track. Transitions 3 is probably the best and most musically diverse of the Transitions releases, 1 was a bit dull and 2 tried too hard to be quirky, 3 is a bit all over the board as far as genres/styles go but it's always got something going on and is definitely more melodic than the first 2 releases.

Yes that was one of my favorite Essential Mixes too. I guess all Djs have their good and bad nights. I would say that Digweed is more consistent than Sasha, who has been so boring recently.

It's super to see Digweed @ 3. He was in India last year and blew people away with his sets - especially in Bangalore and Bombay. I for one, came seriously unhinged when he dropped "Always something better"

Tried getting him for Sunburn, Goa this year... but the man's just not available!
