Yes, I can't wait to see DJs putting even less effort into their mixing because they're too busy blending two shit pre-made visuals together and pretending to be that much more creative.

There are professional VJs out there who invest thousands of dollars in high-end visual mixing gear, and take their craft very seriously, who must be absolutely livid at the sight of this thing. DJ's should mix music, leave the visuals to the people who actually know what the hell they're doing...

Case in point, Tommy Lee is using/promoting this POS...

I see your point that there's gonna be DJ's who think they can actually do both (mix audio and mix video) effectively at the same time but suck at it, and that can ruin some clubbing experiences. But so what. Just don't go and see those DJ's if that's the case. But what if there really are some incredibly talented people out there who can actually do both at the same time and enhance one with the other? Surely it would be better if one person with one vision for a specific mood controls the whole setting rather than one person controlling sounds and another controlling video, and the two being not really connected since the 2 people don't think alike.

I say it's good that the option is here for those people. I'm not really worried about people who will waste their money on this only to do a horrible job.

Did you say the same thing when CDJ's became popular? Or DVS's? Or ableton?

The same argument can be made for those.

Nah, my argument clearly doesn't have anything to do with that, and everything to do with what it is.

It detracts more than it adds imo.

Like it or not, it's a logical progression for DJs. Since when has advancement of technology been a bad thing? Evolve or die.

If I could afford this and find some way to implement it with a sheep like visuals it would just be the coolest thing ever. It just sounds like it could be so much fun.

And once you learn how to do it well it wont distract you from the musical aspect.

I guess I don't see an advancement in combining two things that two separate types of artists already do perfectly well.

Most audio artists should "progress" and become visual artists? I'm sorry, but I really don't know how to respond to that.
