I'm also going to note that just because a group has artistic merit does not entail that they make good music. Liking Scooter because they are a social commentary makes you a tool. At least people who like them for their music just have shitty taste.

I agree. Their stuff when they actually try to make real music is good, but I still see nothing to applaud in their criticisms. In fact, I think such misadventures should be discouraged. Trying to make modern art out of music is the height of pretentiousness.
