I'm not sure, but I think that fails to make any sense at all.

I think you two are using different meanings of the word "drift". He probably thinks you're using "drift" in the sense that their tracks change style over time.

Rob's using "drift" in the technical term. As in the track's tempo drifts.

Ah, I had never really heard it used in any other sense with reference to EDM.

But yeah, my copy of "Twilight" purchased right off Beatport has a bit of drift in it, which is fine when playing on CD's (it's easy to correct), but pulling it into Ableton and getting it to warp the way I wanted it to wasn't as easy as it usually is.

allow me to be the first to ask the question.

what are you doing playing Twilight in the first place, doesn't seem like your type of track at all.

Meh - there's still a big, big part of me that likes commercial house and trance music, so I still buy a fair bit of it.

Sam, you don't make much sense sometimes...

And as for the topic, I'd argue neither the copied nor the copier are covering much new ground...

I'd say Chris Lake, seeing as they're both mates and have similar styles, if it wasnt for the fact Chris Lake was big before Deadmau5.

Sebastian Leger?
