Really liking some of the samples I've found - thanks for the recommendation

Yes it's quite stripped down, like techno usually is, but it's incredibly warm. And you just gotta love those sweet breaks tracks, Lady 707 and Leaving Me.

You will probably like his previous album "Deeparture In Time".

Also, if you like Joris Voorn make sure to check out his previous album too, if you haven't already, "Future History".

Take a look inside the techno favorites thread that has been active lately. You'll find a lot of good stuff in there.

Yeah, i had compiled an extensive list of legendary (IMO) deep techno albums in that one! (that is non-minimal, deep and melodic Detroitesque techno like Joris Voorn and stuff). Worth checking .

I'm surprised that no one mentioned these two excellent albums:

The Field- "From Here We Go Sublime"

A fantastic minimal techno album which is excellent for the reason that it is not minimal (!) or not entirely minimal or maximal-minimal lol. Well, it is minimal techno but with lots of samples/effects/loops and simple arpeggiated melodies. At times you also get plenty of delay-reverb-distortion resulting in a kind of "Shoegazing/dreamy" techno or what my bloody valentine or even M83 would sound like if they were a minimal techno act ("shoegaze-techno" anyone? If more acts/people start play music like this it would be my favourite EDM genre)! Anyway with all this production you understand that this is not JUST minimal techno but...neo-trance!(lol, meh these genre names suck!).Its actually unbelievable how such loopy music can sound emotional at times...Anyway, in a few words, brilliant and fresh modern techno music!

Slam -"Human Response"

When it comes to "deep (Detroitesque)techno" Slam are the masters of their kind. Well ,you find all the usual Detroit Techno cliches with the driving motor-city bass and the futuristic strings and stuff, but all done with a modern twist. There are also nice retro-electro/synth-poppy influences, some modern clicky/glitchy minimalistic sounds (but thank god without overdoing it!)and beautifull lush ambient soundscapes all blended elegantly and nicely. Very nice album.

Yes those are both winners for sure. I had kinda forgot about Human Response, i think i've only listened to it once. But i've been listening a lot to Azure and No One Left To Follow.
