main reason is i cant stereo sidechain in sx 3.

second is ive heard that when tracks are copied onto vinyl the kick and bass need to be in mono to avoid the needle skipping although im not 100% on that.

Well your right. It doesnt need to be perfectly in mono but preferably very close.. A track will mostly sound much better with kick and bass centered anyhow..

Ofcourse u can do stereo scc in sx3. What makes u think otherwise?

sterilis, make sure you select the right output when you mixdown. I use the free ASIO4ALL driver, so i click on "ASIO4ALL v2 Stereo Out(stereo)"

Thats the end channel basically, or the master channel. You should have a master channel in your project.

If you press F3 in cubase, and look at the far right, the last mixer channel, the name of the channel is at the bottom. You should see that name in the outputs for the mixdown.

Hope that helps. good luck

yes but does it support quad stero? i dont think so.. i'm pretty sure you're stuck with using peak controller.. which no doesn't sound the same.. different, yes, maybe even better depending what you want to do with it. but it is different, just as different sidechain compressors sound different.

Don't bother. I told them on the first page including a free alternative. Somehow this just needed to be stretched over 3 pages.

Here's another free stereo-sidechaining VST. Plus, some nice guy made a video tutorial on how to use it on Ableton Live. It works decently.

Stereo Sidechain Compressor Download

Sidechain Compressor Video Tutorial on Ableton Live

This will be good for those of you new to sidechaining. Better than doing it the poor man's way with volume automation ;-)
