Listen man, watch what you say about where I live. It's a gorgeous area with only a few barely noticeable problems. Once you get past all of the shootings, stabbings, rapings, burglaries, kidnappings, crackdealers, crackheads, methlabs, bloods, crips, dead animals/people, and used needles lying around everywhere, you can really start to appreciate just how wonderful springfield is.
Everyone seems to think CDJ's are the way I should go for mixing. If I were interested in making music as well what kind of equipment would I need?
Also, do any of you DJ part-time or full-time anywhere? If so, how long did it take you to get your foot in the door and how did you go about doing it?
Thanks again, this is all really helpful for me. | at first i thought you were serious lol. then again, i've only seen springfield from I-91, the mass pike, and a few other assorted times i've actually been in the direct area. i know there are some nice parts, they just get overshadowed.
for producing, yeah, do what darkarbiter suggested, i'd personally back FL studio. once you get the hang of it (which is easy to do in itself), the options truly open up from there. i've produced every track i've ever made with FL alone, i've never used anything else. but that's just me, and i don't produce goa or even anything remotely relevant to current EDM.
