I'm hahaha'ing at this thread too... Another case of "how many things is wrong with this picture?":
a) booking was discussed in April 2007, not 2 years ago
b) at least half of the DJs that play in the United States don't have that Visa... the other half that do are guys like Tiesto and PVD, and all the bigger names; being without the work permit is very easily avoided and no one has ever gone to jail, or had to pay for getting caught; in fact, to my knowledge and my promoter friends' knowledge, we've only heard of two instances where an artist without one was "caught"... he was simply sent on a plane home and fairly enough, kept the fee he was paid
c) in the NY thread, you use the fact that you "were in a bad place in your life at the time" as an excuse; you could have taken our fee, come to New York and play to a crowd that never heard of you (once again, I repeat, April 2007, he wasn't "famous" yet), and if you got caught at the airport, you could have gone right back home and kept our fee to better your life if that was the problem.
d) we stopped our commenting yesterday afternoon, not because we changed our mind, but because it's unnecessary and spiraled a bit further than we thought (with other people making dumb claims and assumptions about you that were ASS-umptions in the first place); there was no need to bring it up again; now you have your friends mouthing off people in the New York forum, and calling very well established promoters "unprofessional", with immature language and they're making a bad name for you by doing that... why did you need to open up the wounds? now more people are going to read THAT thread, and THIS one, and that means more people may just be on my side (or not, but you seem to enjoy the drama, otherwise this wouldn't be posted).
