Ok, well go back and get the right story. Find out what happened.
Did you have a flight last night? Why did they tell you you didn't? Etc. etc. Clear it all up.
Once you find out who owns the blame, then you can go ape shit on someone.
Dude... you just slept in a fucking airport all night. I hate when companies pull bull shit like this. If you buy something, and paid for it, you should get what you fucking bought. Not some dicking around and a nights sleep in an airport chair.
They make millions of dollars and are sleeping in their down filled beds nice and cozy. This should piss you off. You were fucked and should get some compensation for it. Time = money!!
Once you find out who fucked up, lose it on them.
Demand something... whatever you might really want, and if they don't give it to you, ask to speak to a supervisor.
Now the way to go about this properly is to
a. do not swear or start screaming (nobody is going to do shit all for you if you start being a complete twat)
b. sound angry and persistent, but try to make it sound like you aren't directly attacking the person you are speaking with, in fact, try to be very nice to the person you're speaking with... get buddy buddy with them so they will fight for your side (it can happen... trust me)
c. play the sympathy card
d. if you're still getting dicked around, ask questions they can't back out of - for example "if this happened to you, would you be happy that you slept in an airport all night long?" etc.
e. if all else fails, this is when you truly go apeshit. Start making a scene. It's hard to do, but if you can pull it off, they will do anything to shut you up. Call the race card if you have to.
Bottom line is this. You paid good money for a service. They failed to give you that service. Now I don't know where along the line people started excusing airlines from the same simple expectations of any other kind of business, but no matter what company it is, a company should provide you with the service you paid them for, and if they don't, they should make it up to you in some way.
If you went to a restaurant, and your ordered steak, and instead got chicken, but the bill still was for the steak, would you not say something? Why should you pay for a more expensive steak when you got a piece of chicken?
Same premise.
Damn corporations... pisses me off.
