you're forgetting about gran turismo 5, gta4, and deveil may cry 4. i don't play games all that often anymore so my focus was on getting an all in one entertainment system. free network and online play on the ps3 are definitely a bonus, i dont like paying for stuff.

that being said i bought an 80gb ps3 yesterday, and i love it so far. and yes if you wanna play games, PC games probably offer the best graphics and gameplay, but my desktop pc is so unstable i can pretty much shit on it. not worth upgrading.

GTA multi-player (original [2D]-- turning off frame sync on a 3Dfx card was insanely fast )/GTA2 and GTA3+ (with user created mods/hacks) on PC > GTA* on any console! its pure mayham!

In short XBOX360 .. hands down

If you like FPS games then go with the 360 hands down. they have the best online community with xbox live. COD4 online is ridiculous... Halo 3 a ton of people like (not my cup of tea) Gears of war.. Awesome...

On top of that you can download movies, music, games, arcade games etc.. etc... and you have the option of HDDVD (AWESOME)

PS3 does have blu-Ray, and it is a wonderful technology...

I think the HDDVD will win the fight with Blu-Ray, or a third party with both on the disc will come out.

The reason why HDDVD will win is because the cost of making a HDDVD is way cheaper, and thus the porn studios decided to go with HDDVD. This may seem silly that I am saying this, but the war between Beta Max, and VHS was decided by the porn studios going with VHS over Beta...

Even though BETA was a better quality, VHS won because of the cost of the items.

hahahaha im guessing youve never played quake world, team fortress, half-life much less bf1942 or even operation flashpoint 1982 (i remember reading about the military using this now for training/simulation)? the games i mentioned are close to decade to 5 years old and their game play is pretty much ace over anything ive played on xbox/ps including gears of war! sorry but FPS games on consoles remind me too much of when golden eye came out for n64 and everyone w/o a pc went nuts over that game
