That a group of people can be "normal" and even genuinely kind to their own but horrifically murderous to others.

But most of the time people prefer to distance themselves from the horror by talking as if all the Nazis ever thought about was killing killing killing. As if they weren't even human. But they were.

Talking about Hitler or Nazis in public is one of the most dangerous things to do. Many people here in Germany have gone ashtray because they were misunderstood / chose the wrong words / etc. when talking about that subject.
