Darkbeat Statement:
Unfortunately Chris Fortier has cancelled his Australian tour and as such, will NOT be coming to Darkbeat on Saturday January 27 as planned to play at Ffour.
This is soley due an another promoter in Australia not fulfilling their financial obligations to Chris Fortier's management , and as such both Imprint DJ management and Chris Fortier have decided that a tour of Australia in January is no longer viable.
We are extremely disappointed as we are sure you are, however we have been working tirelessly , calling and negotiating in the UK to make the tour happen and rest assured we did absolutely everything we could to avoid a cancellation, however sometimes the careless behaviour of other promoters in Australia result in tours being fully cancelled, which has happened in this situation.
Chris himself is devastated that he can no longer come to Melbourne, and will be making an official statement himself about what has occurred, as he is very anxious for his Australian fans to understand just why he can no longer come , we will make sure you all get this information as soon as we do.
However, the show must and will go on, and we are extremely excited to announced that DJ THREE will be replacing Chris Fortier for a monster 3 hour set !
Musically, i do not think you could get more of a closer match to Fortier's sound than DJ Three - which by some weird twist of fate is comforting for us. Along with Sean Cusick , Fortier and Three have been building and rocking the New York house scene for many years now, and for us - we are absolutely 100 % confident that lovers of deep, twisted tech house will be satisfied at the next Darkbeat.

Three has quietly and steadily earned the respect of his peers the world over through a handful of truly unique productions and a signature DJing sound spanning through all things house, techno and beyond. This sound, a strong knowledge of tradition capped by a fondness for the cutting edge, continually puts him through a variety of tour dates that show not only diversity in audience, but a genre-bending passion for good music. A long time fixture of Florida's legendary Simons and a former resident at Twilo in N.Y.C., guest spots have seen him through San Franciso's notorious Wicked Crew party, London's Fabric, Bedrock, KISS FM , and off-shore to Mexico, Peru, Costa Rica, Pacha in Buenos Aires and South Africa.
Echoing his wide tastes as a DJ, the unique sound of his productions has captured a not-so-common cross section of DJ's ears from deep house to techno, and all things in bewteen.
