The J-tek name is an abbreviation of Jungle Techno as Is Jap Techno.... They stand for two different things, the thing is Jungle techno was here first and inspired both speed garage and jap techno....Why you would waste your time trying to slag this off when these guys are just trying to back this sound with modern production skills is beyond me....This is a good thing for underground music as a whole and it's aim is to unite people, Lira has to much time on his hands, get a hobbie mate and stop being a hater.....

Now that I've listened to those track, I can say that I really like Falling Bombs.
But it doesn't sound like a new genre...

Because at some point people will tire of the relentlessness.
It's no coincidence that approx. half of dubstep's fanbase consists of people who got tired of drum n bass, that Shy FX's latest signings to Digital Soundboy has been spacey things from Breakage or that people like Ed Solo suddenly start to make stuff like Raspberry Dub. |
Oh well... People who get bored of it will go, new people will come.
Doesn't mean the genre itself will slow down, there are plenty of other slower genres to listen to.

First of all, jtek has been used to refer to Japanese techno for quite a few years now. Also, techstep would be a better candidate for this "jungle tekno" monicker than this music you guys are posting. I'd say "Garage breaks" would be a more suitable name, for that matter, but most people would think it was some new kind of uk garage. Well, it is, kinda. |
I agree with everything said. Oh, and not to forget... Techstep FTW.

Tech step refers to things like C4C and Optiv......This is Jungle Techno....J-tek for short....Why reinvent the wheel..... This is not a new thing, just an old thing polished to go forward..There is nothing wrong with that... Why did the japs not just call there thing techno as they got it from europe anyway.History Lesson= Jungle techno came from the need for breaks in in techno.. The hip hop crews of the 80's needed it as it was what they were used to... Shut up and dance, lennie dee ice and many others paved the way for this and jungle techno was born in 92, it faded to quick btu not because the masses wanted it to fade. It just happened as things sometimes get split and tagged by the media. Also garage unthought of until many years later and took all the elements from Jungle Techno... Call it Jungle techno if ya not into J-Tek strange argument as it's only an abbreviation of Jungle Techno lol.....
In 91-92 I was into Joey beltram and Lennie dee ice, prodigy and mickey finn all being played under one roof.... at least you got to learn new music and people did not moan so much then.
Enjoy underground music as a whole
