The Mac can run whatever you want, I was talking about the EEE PC though, you can install windows xp on it instead of the linux distro it ships with.

On the Macbook Air you can't replace anything? That sucks.

Cause I have normal Macbook and everything you need to access can be opened through the bottom as a small panel comes off to replace the RAM.

Also, I had to replace my GF's power supply on her Mac because she broke it, but it ended up costing $75 at this computer store which was the cheapest we found anywhere.

The only problem with Macs is that you can't buy any cheap Hong Kong products for $0.01...but oh well.

I've had my Mac for 1.5 years and its the best laptop i've ever had.

PS. Office 2008 is so much better than Office 2004!

I guess not, I think it's $130 to replace it though.

Every powerbook has died b/c of overheating. 90% of all HDs have to be replaced.

Think about how thin this unit is ... there will be no room for proper cooling.

OK, I clearly was brainwashed by the slightly-homosexual-Steve-Jobs-look-alike in the video. After thinking about the problems outlines above, I now change my opinion that it's still trash in a pretty package, like any other Apple product.

agreed on all points.

but if you think about it...how often do you use an optical drive? I can't remember the last time I used mine, lol. I download all music and software and watch movies on my 46"LCD. Yyou can hook up an external for the rare times you *really* need one, I guess.

it's defintely not a primary computer...but for a student lugging something around the city or someone who works on the go (sales, for e.g.), it doesn't get much more portable (with those decent specs) than that.

good product, but really is for a niche market.
