i have 2 sets. one is white & black, the other is a more posh version me & my brother got for xmas when we were younger & has our name engraved on the board side, and it's cream & brown. I have seen black & red before though, just never played with them

one of my favorite strategies is the "wedge"

when you go on the aggressive and arrange your pieces into something resembling a Mighty Ducks' Flying V formation.

there's another game like checkers thats called Othello. it's with white/black pieces.

although i don't think they used the flying V until the 2nd movie... i might be wrong, it's been so long since i've seen any of them. but if you live in MN, like i used to, it's a sin not to have seen them.

I know how to play chess yet don't know how to play checkers...never really was interested in checkers to be honest

I haven't played chess in a while. I'd like to eventually go back to playing chess.
