DJ= obviously , im a DJ
Chrono= a word I liked, after seeing it first in the game chrono trigger for SNES. also the latin word chronos means time.

used this name for 2 years right when I started producing tracks. How exactly did I pick that name in particular? I made myself a CD cover that strangely looked similar to the cover of brink of time, the chrono trigger soundtrack. it is just an overhead view of a plate with some eggs and bacon on it. and thats how it started.

I had a pal who used to work at Ivar's seafood restaurant.

My name means 'be strong' or 'be proud' in Maori (I'm from New Zealand originally).

I picked up the name years back when I was playing basketball for my school (my coach called me that actually) The long form is VanillaThrilla

beginning of 1999, I was going to an IRC meet with my brother in Cape Town, and he told me I'd need a nick (I hadn't ever IRCed at that point).

We spent the better part of the afternoon thinking up nicks.

Then, it hit me whilst I scratched around in a kitchen cupboard for food. I saw a pack of instant soup. Chicken vegetable with croutons.

And the rest, as they say, is history.
