Ok, here's what you do:

1. Eat lots of eggs, don't throw away the cartons.
2. Pick a room.
3. Cover all the walls, ceilings, and floor [you may have to remove it first], cover with the abovementioned cartons.
4. Don't tell the fire marshal, and pray for no fires.

i had music as loud as i wanted there and no one cared...the problem with that building tho is the roaches... .at least on the 16th floor..

It seems that everyone is saying lofts don't let sound escape?

How is this possible?

I was under the impression that a loft was basically just an open concept apartment, and usually larger...

Therefore I dont see how it would be any different than an apartment in terms of sound proofness

can someone explain?

i've got a friend who lives in a loft at near the end of Black Creek Drive...he plays music as loud as he wants, but I think its just tolerant neighbours...cause one of his friends lives on the lower level and says you can hear everything above you, footsteps, bass notes, etc...

lofts may have more airspace in between floors, but for the people below you, or beside you...would be just as loud.
