Then Swamper and his entourage of 30, who were all wearing TA monogramed Rolexes, left the room and flew to Hawaii for a few hours because Del wanted fresh coconut.
To his defense, Trump didn't even really look like a bum.

mansion in miami is gorgeous inside because it used to be an an art deco theater, not an industrial warehouse. hopefully they'll keep the tables off the dance floor up here...
even though the signs seem to be pointing to mansion being a version of pink elephant on steroids, there's always hope that things can turn around. when it first opened, crobar was an uber-trendy scenester spot and didn't start booking the big lineups (and attracting the more egalitarian b&t crowds) until almost a year into its operation.
I was always into Roxy and Spirit. Had some of my best times there. I wasn't into crobar all that much until roxy and spirit really died down... it started to grow on me after a while.

You remember when they had those little hanging lights, like the fire alarm bright tiny lights that go off all at different times?! WOW... Someone needs to find a video of that... agh....
RIP... too many good times had in Crobar... With Bob Sinclar doing opening night, don't think I'll take Mansion seriously..

I like the tables on the dance floor as long as there is there a big dance floor as well like in Miami. The tables in the middle add to the vibe. I dunno maybe it was just the night I went but the people with bottle service were going pretty nuts, everyone was dancing and tons of girls dancing on the tables/platforms. I dunno I like how it breaks things up...

many others found their party lives at palladium/hudson st?/limelight/arc/tunnel/spirit/etc.
older people can bitch all they want about what was better. a lot of us found found our night life at crobar. residencies with Sasha, Ferry, and Sander is where some of us "grew up."
we knew we could go to Crobar any weekend and see a good EDM DJ whether or not we'd heard about them before. It was consistent. It was where we could seen about people we had never hear before: Victor Calderone, Roger Sanches, Chus & Ceballos, Eric Morillo, Bad Boy Bill, ...
- Crobar is where i met most NYTAs
- it was fabulous. it great when the allowed smoking in the back - you could meet and chat with people
- it was a big dance floor, where you could lose yourself (as Bree always reminds me to do) and not worry about outside stresses
the one big drawback was that there was no where to sit
- in the earlier day you could talk your way upstairs or to the VIP section
- I don't mind a VIP section - sometimes the NY Rangers (or Diddy; isn't he welcome?) need a place to chill and enjoy a good party
all in all, Crobar was a great club
and now it is gone
celebrate what it brought
and live past what's gone
