i completely agree. trance is what i LOVE. but the last 2 years havent been trance, and i have been living off classics, trance 98-2003 style. i am out of touch with todays scene. if u can call it that.

its either as u say cheesy/generic or that tech/electro guff..

I love all the old trance too, but, I think alot of the trance coming out now-a-days is great, and I have never heard such quality as the tracks and cd's coming out as of late. I don't know what some of you haters are talking about........

did you even take the time to read the article rubez? he mentions off beat basslines and talks about his style and the style associated with most discover artists.. people like YOU make me remember why there was a need for APN. Educate yourself a bit and make a proper arguement.

they have "perfected" it, and it sounds "great" (sounds horrid to me) but in the process it has lost the magic. really stale. too much polish and sheen basically.

a bit more gritty and raw please!

others id say are binary finary and cafe del mar obvious ones.

i HATE his sound, and i HATE what he did to all the classics, so im not reading about him. call it ignorance if u wish..
but so was remixing, needlesly all they classic trancers.

personally i hate when u know what label a tune is from just by the feel of it.. worst offender.. anjunabeats. (i hope he didnt say that it was a strength! - but i dont care either way)

For me the quality and clarity make the experience much better. I smoke a bone, throw on Sander, Armin, Tiesto, Markus, anything great that has been coming out as of late, and I just let the electro's flow through every vein, and I love it, and I still get lost in it, just as I did 10 years ago. Only now it sounds better in most cases. And don't get me wrong, I'm not saying they sounded bad back in the day, I just really love what is coming out now too. Just my 2 cents

Its not about calling it ignorance.. its about stating the facts, and ignorance is at the very basis of your arguement here.

Ignorance is the condition of being uninformed or uneducated, lacking knowledge or information.

I dont have anything against you dude.. but in reality people dont hide behind computer monitors and if you ever want to be taken seriously know your facts. Arguements based on uninformed personal opinion do not fare well this day and age.. a time when knowledge is literally at our fingertips. Its sad to see some resisting and choosing to rather spout off an end all be all. If you can figure out how to properly support an opinion arguement then youll be far ahead in life. Dislike whom ever you want, but dont be ignorant, it just invalidates your arguement.
