and by the way, you can't always hope your virus program will get rid of the problem, because a lot of the times it won't once it's already been leaked. The obvious thing to do if you are going to search with it, is to do it in safe mode. This way only the drivers and necessary services required to run windows will open, and nothing else. It gives your program a better chance to get rid of a virus it finds, for good.
Go to msconfig, and look for weird startup files that normally wouldn't be there. Check out Task Manager and look for weird processes that are running. The makers of them change things all the time, so you will have to do searching on the net for the files you've found, and hopefully get lucky finding someone that got rid of the same thing. If you are decent with computers, you can search obvious parts of the registry, and might get lucky to delete the strings you find, but if you are not, then just leave it alone. If you remember the name of the weird file you downloaded, search your computer for it, and delete all entries of it.
There's not always a quick fix when you get a virus, that's why you have to put up all your guards so you DON'T get one in the first place! Firewall your fackin computer, get a good anti-virus program with it running all the time, and never ever download weird shit lol. Hopefully this will be a lesson to you.
Block your 12 year old sister from downloading lol.
On another note...
Msn also has a tool that can help get rid of the most common viruses:
http://www.microsoft.com/security/m...ve/default.mspx
Also, you can actually get msn to scan files for viruses before you download them, either by using your anti-virus program, or their safety scanner. Go into the "options" on your contact list, then "file transfer", and check the box "scan files for viruses".
