As far as I'm concerned, I have spent far too many hours of my life giving his recent productions a chance.

I'm looking at it a lot further maybe then I should, but I just feel like he could be doing a lot better with his tracks then he is when I listen to them outside of a party atmosphere.

I like how everytime we're discussing something in here you completely miss the point. We're not talking about whether people like Emissions in some club, or if RibCage is danceable.

We're talking about whether he's "underground" as is splattered all over this interview. Having your tracks go into the top sales at beatport does not make you underground. lol Neither does releasing tracks on Minus, Armada, Ultra and Renaissance...

Yeah, his tracks got mentioned in the interview too man. Did you miss that part?

I've already mentioned that the point of him thinking he is underground or not is pretty much a very stupid thing to worry about. So yeah, some of us in this thread are actually talking about the music though. I know, you usually have your blinders on when it comes to that part of a discussion.

Why are you discussing him then?

i am thoroughly convinced you put this thread up just for the humor value iammesol lol. i will admit though that i was a fan of his stuff when he was first pushing his new sound but after hearing his remix of spastik, and that he scrapped his first remix of space bird that was amillion times better than the bullshit he released that this dude needs to stop trying to make "mnml" music.

I put it up for whatever it would get. I've always enjoyed reading interviews, regardless who the interviewee may be.

They're pretty fun to conduct too

ive never understood why people care so much about the actual person making the music or djing it. its a natural first reaction when you see dubfire on minus label, like, "eww he doesnt belong here, get out". i had the same thoughts, for about 3 seconds. then i became rational and thought "what matters is the music, and thats it". i want to listen to music not knowing who did it, i dont want my judgement to be swayed because of knowing the artist's reputation or history, because it really doesn't matter, people shouldnt be insulting him and being all snobby, they should just open their ears.

that said, i havent really heard anything i like by him though, but im still keeping an open mind.
