I can't remember exactly. I'd definitely class Xpander as a remake though, however inventive and accomplished a remake it may be.

fair enough

still, the fact that a remake took TOTY is not exactly a badge of honor

There was plenty of 07 trance I enjoyed, like all that J00F stuff but it didn't make it past the first round of voting

That's the price of a public vote. Folks are only going to vote for what they know (or worse, the name they recognize), and very few are going to spend the time to listen to ALL the nominees.

I'm a CPA in real life; probably the most honest profession there is. I'll post details, but people who DIDN'T vote shouldn't be complaining. And if I wanted to adulterate the results I would have skewed them towards my favorite track which was Faxing Berlin. Unfortunately I have a little something called integrity.

I don't actually know any of these tracks, apart from "Faxing Berlin."

I'm so out of step.

58 is way too few bearing in mind the number of registered users over here. Maybe next year samples should be included to try and get more people to vote.

so *wait* *wait* *hold on* *hold your horses*

Am I getting this right. Only 58 users cared to vote for the TOTY poll

edit: apparently it's indeed only 58, wow that's just ridiculous

What is with the complaining, Nautilus was fair in my opinion of giving everyone a chance to vote. So if you didn't vote, in the words of Paris you should DIE. I agree that "Fly Away" should not have made TTOTY, it was my least fav of the top 6 (Formentera What?, and Faxing berlin would have been better) But Hey...

Thank you dj10. It's refreshing to know that some people have common sense and understand the reality of things.
