I hope he will be okay but I don't feel sorry for him. I remember playing hockey and we had to wear a neck guard....if players refuse to wear protection that is available to them then I don't feel sorry for them....maybe next time he skates onto the ice he will think twice and wear a neck guard....unfortunately I highly doubt he is smart enough to do that. Too many players don't want to wear face protection and neck protection....personally, I think the NHL should make it mandatory for certain protection gear to be worn....unfortunately the players will never agree to it.
