overall, yes, they're pretty profitable, but they lose money on the ones for a lot of products. some are a lot more valuable than others, too. you can get a 4-year one on a $2000 receiver for $150. you can also spend $40 on a 2-year one for a $90 dvd burner.
anyway, for the billionth time, tort reform should be at the forefront of political debate, but alas. lawsuits like this are beyond trivial--they're flat-out detrimental to the economy. What a stupid cvnt. They should replace the laptop. If they want to give her something more, good for them. That's it.
