it was started by a guy named tim horton, soooo why wouldn't his own store be considered possessive? like mcdonald's or wendy's? or am i missing something?

actually, i just did a little research, and apparently the reason was that the "language police" in quebec considered the apostrophe to break their rules against english signs... so the owners decided to drop the apostrophe universally for some gay, retarded reason... tim horton wasn't even francophone.

Didn't you know? Quebec is the land where normal sense doesn't apply.

On a side note, I hate timmies. Last year, I won the coleman package. Did everything properly, sent it away. Boom - get mail back saying "you didn't include your winning tab". It was stapled directly to the paper.

You know whats funny? There are NO CAMERA's in the room where they open the mail for prize winners. Not only that, but there are NO IDENTIFIABLE SERIAL NUMBERS on the winning tickets. They asked me to mail in a "photo copy". I said "are you serious? I could just photo copy it over and over and send it in 600 times as a prize claim".

Needless to say, I never got my camping set. Not that I cared all that much - I don't wear Birk's, and I can't stand Dave Matthews band anyways

That's total BS
I've never heard of people getting effed over like that
My friend sold the winning cup for the car to a practically homeless man
and I sold a BBQ to an HSR bus driver
AND my friend from France was visiting here for 6 months and won the iPod ... no problems
Wins are great promos for the individial store, not just for the entire corporate enterprise... and why I am defending a business for which I no longer work, I have no idea lol

PS. AJ - you're a dick head but fine - that was effin funny

I need to know....

Has anyone actually won anything besides a coffee, donut, muffin, or please 'pay' again...

The only thing I win after the roll up the rim promotion is the need to go on a diet from consuming to many "free" donuts :P
