and i bet they were all the size of adults so anyone that says they would have taken on these kids is dead wrong. they would kick your ass in a second and not give a shit about it since they are protected under young offenders act.
i didn't get beaten and i am an upstanding individual. edit: lol.

Young Offender's Act has only told the kids that if they break the law, all they get is a slap on the wrist.

Thats bullshit...it depends on the person...obviously if you are a skinny underweight individual your chances of beating these kids asses are greatly reduced but lets say there just so happened to be a 230 lbs black belt sitting on that car Im sure those kids would think twice and if not would get there asses handed to them.

As awful an event as this story is, I couldn't help but notice what a horribly written article this is. This guy is a regular contributor? Brutal.
so seven teenagers get on the subway and his next sentence is "here comes trouble"? because seven teenagers together is *always* bad news!
"hold onto your hat" and "thing got ugly then"...those are some insightful lines.
Is there really a need to further sensationlize this story by inserting additional drama and cliches? the facts paint a clear enough picture of what happened. Maybe comment on what else could be done in that situation, advocate for additional security options to riders, question why this happens...something. Insetead, he finishes with this gem:
"...and yes, those kids had a weapon. Teenaged rage."
so this article recounts a negative event and offers nothing else other than implying that groups of teens are clearly up to no good and we can do nothing about it.
weak.

And when my dad beat my ass with a belt I would try to jump high and forward at the same time to ease the impact but he would hold me hahaha...those were the days
+1
Lmao, me too man. I bet every kid who got beaten tried that move, that was my secret move until my grandma figured it out.
Seriously though the shit kids get away with these days is ridiculous.

My dad used to get physical with me when I was young, but it was only for my own good. It damn sure kept me in line. I got used to him yelling at an early age, but also feared a good smack.
I definitely wouldn't behave as well today if he didn't bring me up the way he did
if that hoebag threw a punch at me, the 'dont put your hands on women' rule would get broken, quickfast.

this sounds less to do with being an issue about teenagers and more about being an issue about mental patients of any age. Most teenagers and older people dont behave this way. I dont like how age has been implicated here when this person clearly has mental problems.

lol I'm 230 lbs and I have a black belt, but if I was sitting on that bus I would of mind my own business call the cops or get off and call the cops. Obviously these teenagers are a little out of control so who knows what they can do, or what weapons they can have. I may be able to take two maybe three of them but the 4th one would knock me down and I'll be helpless.

I agree. Violence with a crazy person is just not a good idea.
