anyway, what I was trying to say, mind you haven't upgraded or bothered going down the new video card route since then had a ati x800 XT PE and that struggles on most games esp new one's ala crysis and cod4 @ full detail at a high res. Sure I may seem ignorant, but that's based on my unwillingness to research pc related gaming these days based on the inhibiting cost vs peformance factor and obviously (for me anyway) to be able to play in front of a big fvck off 46" hdlcd screen.

firstly, the first number (1920) is largely irrelevant, that basically just says how wide your monitor is.

id certainly give it a crack, i DID spend $700 on a vid card after all. i could easily do 1600x1200 (which i would choose over 1920x1080). alas im stuck with 768, but thats what you get with tvs. i only bought 32" so thats the best available at the time, res isnt everything.

thats all well and good, but dont pretend that consoles dont get performance issues; the only difference being that they arent scalable and you cant buy new hardware to make them run better.

That's a terrible game to pick, mainly because it's a next gen game and a revolutionary one for all systems in terms of graphics.

At the end of the day, if your PC can't handle it you can always upgrade it. You can't do this with a console.
