The card you got clearly says "PROMOTION". This is their legal disclaimer that it's not a contest and you didn't win a contest. It means you get something if you buy something.

From the prizes listed, you 'won' the adventure package, which will likely need some out of pocket expenses like airfare to a time-share.

Time-share is likely what they will push down your throat, and make any way possible for you to buy into it.

If you are not strong-willed, don't go.

If you are into sales yourself, and want to learn the art of hard-closing, go for the educational experience. It's free sales training if you look at it that way. I did that too.

I actually went to one of these things because a couple of friends and I thought it would be something to check out and kill time. Deep in the southwest side of Chicago, in an area of abandoned warehouses and shutdown factories, lies yet another abandoned warehouse that just so happens to have brightly-lit offices inside.

The "presentation" was hilarious. They literally ASSIGNED us seats, putting us in strategic spots next to or really close to other "people" whom were clearly just employees of the company, pretending to act all interested in the product and making the entire scheme look as plausible as it could. I lolled the entire time, and continued lolling when the lady giving the speech abruptly, outta nowhere said, "OK, now its time to make a choice, if you would like to hear the rest of the secret to making unbelievable amounts of money from your own home, the $200 starter pack will start you a new life!"

I left and lolled on the L all the way back to my place.

Keep us up to date, hearing about this kinda shit always tears me up.
