ladies ladies, you're BOTH right.

MGS2 was both shit AND awesome at the same time. If one completely disregards the mess of a storyline (or lack thereof in immensely advancing it) it offered wonderful gameplay, cinematic drama and political/social commentary. Beautiful and deep, yet it gave gamers an aggressive case of blue balls with the introduction of Raiden and the stupid plot twist unveiled in the final third.

MGS3, inversely has one of the best plots ever seen in a video game. Assisted with the cinematics, I find it to be definitive of video game art. But the hindering camera angles, tedious menu changing tasks (uniform, food, supply bag, medicine), and, in my honest opinion, guards that were impossible to sneak up on, I thought it had the worst gameplay of all MGS'.

The first one was by far the best of the three and one of my favorite games of all time.. It had great gameplay, a solid and in depth story, awesome characters, crazy bosses and original bosses for the psx, it had a good interesting cinematic cut scene, and it had just a great uniqueness and feel to the game. Hard to explain. I would give it a 10/10

The second didn't live up to me expectations. The beginning, like most people, got me very excited. It had solid snake, and the same game play. It felt like metal gear solid one again. But than raiden came in and it felt like it went a little down hill from there. Raiden was like a little whiny bitch and he didnt belong in MGS. It still had solid game play and good characters and interesting points to the plot. But towards the end i feel is when it got ruined. To me the game still had the MGS feel besides Raiden and some different aspects to the game. 8/10

I didn't like the MGS 3 game play. It felt way out of place and failed. The story was awesome but didn't feel like an MGS plot. The environment was way off in my opinion. The jungle is not a good setting for MGS. But to me, the overall style of the game was way off and did not have the MGS/MGS2 feel to it. 7/10

Well, at least it looks like they're axing the uniform changes in MGS4, active camo ftw.

Apparently it will not be multilingual because they cant fit everything on a single BD. However that probably means "just" 1080p video sequences. I don't believe that they have 50 gigs of actual playable content in there. Thats just too massive.

You're joking right? While the second and third installations lacked the powerful and compelling story of the PS version of Metal Gear, the gameplay, side-quests and overall dificulty made playing these titles a handful of times worthwhile. Yes, Raiden is a lame character, Yes Snake Eater is a James Bond ripoff but i had as much fun playing these games as the first one. Well, that's not a fully honest statement but I've fun had trying to beat them several times and several different ways. I'm hoping for a less linear story line for GotP, but no one seems interested in that type of game but me
