MGS2 was both shit AND awesome at the same time. If one completely disregards the mess of a storyline (or lack thereof in immensely advancing it) it offered wonderful gameplay, cinematic drama and political/social commentary. Beautiful and deep, yet it gave gamers an aggressive case of blue balls with the introduction of Raiden and the stupid plot twist unveiled in the final third.
MGS3, inversely has one of the best plots ever seen in a video game. Assisted with the cinematics, I find it to be definitive of video game art. But the hindering camera angles, tedious menu changing tasks (uniform, food, supply bag, medicine), and, in my honest opinion, guards that were impossible to sneak up on, I thought it had the worst gameplay of all MGS'.
