As for the alcohol thing, I'm only 17 and so I don't want to be sneaking two beers everyday. I don't see how 2 beers would make you feel a lot better anyhow especially if you got a tolerance.

ehh everybody has problems..all i can say is that your life is gauranteed to get harder..middleschool doesnt hold a candle to highschool if you let it sneak up on you...i dont wanna be all dark forboding about highschool and make you scared of it but its been a somewhat of a challenge for me...i started off awesome in my first semester then i realized i was smarter than my teachers and i slacked off BIG TIME...now i am paying for it. I also had to transfer schools because my mom moved and i went to live with my dad, i had to leave all my buddies behind and move to school in another state(although still close to home and make all new friends....probably the best thing thats ever happened to me..the school is 100 times better (although my watch got stolen today) and ive made quite a turn around buti have to work my but off this year and next year. Im also on the track team and that severly limits my free time. i dont get home till 6 every night(i know thats not bad to some of you who work but i think it sucks) and i havent been able to go to any of the parties my friends go to because i have a meet every weekend. but i love throwing so i stick with it. dont let highschool whip your ass. do enough work and you can have an awesome time with highschool im starting to see some of it now.
women: personally i could have a girlfriend but i dont have the damn time, money, or energy
some relationships work out to be great things and then ive seen some that crush people or make them annoying little snots..i dont want to go through that crap(call me scared or lazy..i have alot of life ahead of me im not going to throw it all away cause i wanted to spend more time with my nagging girlfriend)
woh ive written alot and i dont think ive said anything...more babbling from mike

but it could be much worse so i cant really complain ...im just thankful for everything that i have

when life gives you lemons, make lemonade

it's so easy to say that life sucks balls...
im in the same position as you..jr in hs but shit i dont know how the europeans can live with the IB program..its the most wack thing ive ever presenced.
problems with not having a social life or a girlfriend or wahtever else is not as bad as being fucked over by more personal things...(identity crisis, family problems..etc) once you think about it it seems rather shallow to say life sucks cause of that...complaining or venting really does calm down that anxiety but ya you have to deal with it...
as for comparing yourself with peopple who have it worse...that's them and your'e you dont compare live within your own framework

im in IB....

ill straight up say it sucks...it stands for international baccalaureate...supposedly, its the best academic program in the world. Well, with the amount of work ya gotta do for it, i believe so. look in the AP Computer Sciences thread, and i bitched about it more in there.

IB and school is the biggest problem in my life, of course. SO much work that it kill syour social life, really. It very thogh to talk about this prog without people being familiar with it. And yes, Junior year in IB is probably gonna be my worst year in life (biology 1 is suicide enough, ive heard)

I dunno though. But someone raised the point of hating the real life after studies, and thats something i realized a bit earlier. see, right now, i really only care abuot the kings winning the championship, and school.

so yeah, im looking toward my future for more fun, ive always had a wait and see attitude. i am a sophmore in highschool right now. I envision a time, maybe when im 25 or so, where i can just chill out, and achieve my dream of going around the world (namely ibiza ). thats whats driving me out of depressoin; the future.

btw.....my summers gonna suck. english is assigning two books to read, spanish is assigning one book, and i am taking calc just to dominate AP AB calc next year, without hope going into IB3. academics all the way baby!

if anything i have posted is whack...sorry...brain isnt functioning.

Why can't schools realize that life isn't about learning, it's about having fun!!!! I'd rather be of average intelligence and travel the world and party than be really smart and sit in an office for all of my life.

Got a question for you all: is it ok to say that your life sucks even though there are many people who have it worse than you?

My situation:
I'm a junior in high school now and it's really too much to handle. I also have a part time job. I have so many damn tests and homework assignments to do plus my job (which is 2 days during the school week btw), that I have hardly any free time during the day. I go out on the weekend but I'm so stressed from the week and stressed about next week that I'm still unhappy. To say the least, I'm really unhappy at the moment.

I was also planning on asking this girl to my prom but decided not to because it's much too expensive. I figured I would then probably ask her out pretty soon. Unfortunetly someone I know decided to take her to the prom and will probably then date her.

I was in Germany in February and met this really cool girl. We hung out and I even kissed her. I didn't want to get into much because I was there for only three weeks. She will be coming here in October for three weeks as well. I was hoping to hang out with her then and maybe have a little something going but not much cause once again, its only three weeks. Anyway, today she tells me in an email she has a boyfriend and was sorry that she was leading me into something with her. Now plans are fucked up for October.

I could go on with more problems but that's about it. Sure, I know everyone else has problems but I needed to get that out.

BACK TO THE TOPIC: Is it ok when you're in this kind of situation to say that life sucks? I know there's people who have so much harder for me. The whole thing is that I know life will get better for me...the Summer is close and I will be outta this whole thing then but nevertheless, life sucks at the moment.

FEEL FREE TO POST YOUR OWN PROBLEMS AS WELL

Dude, You can look at it as if it is stressful or you can look at it as if it's easy. I perfer to look at high school/junior high as easy. I got univeristy to handle now and it's a helluva lot tougher than high school. As for the girl, fuck man, take it from me -- just ask the girl out. Trust me, you dont' want to end up regretting anyting 2 or 3 years down the road. If she's a gold digger, just drop her -- you don't need that shiat.

Life doesn't suck! You just gotta learn how to do what you want -- and when you do make sure to let me know!

*takes another sip of beer*
