Im not saying every single drop an effect or every other song.
Im just saying having fun with the music effects, no doubt its what he does. But i do reckon he would do this an ample amount in his older sets, not just in the beginning.
As far as mainstreaming out, he played an Axwell track in closing (one of my personal fav songs at the moment). Thats something i don't think he would have done a few years ago, let alone in closing.
But to each his own, these are just my thoughts; not worth beating a dead horse over.
In the end JZ killed it and Joel killed it, what else can anyone ask for?
