yea Ive heard about some of those "parties"...
If you wanted to experience what a REAL rave was like is IF you were around the days when CHRIS SHEPPARD et al spun at huge warehouse type venues with over 1000 partiers whilst the cealing was raining from sweat because it was over 120 degrees inside...Full out loud souns systems and lights AND that tickets were like $50 or so to get in...and last but not least it was a TOTALLY different atmosphere and experience then the "parties" you listed...I'll even go as far as saying that the older WEMF parties were "raves"... |
You're kidding right? So you're saying "real" raves were parties with over 1,000 people in a really hot and cramped environment where you had to pay a lot of money to get in? If you're actually serious about what you said, then you really have no idea of what REAL raves are all about.
True raves are free, or close to it and they can happen anywhere, anytime. A real rave is not just a party but an experience.
With a true rave it also doesn't matter how many people show up, whether it's 10 people or 10,000.
As to answer the original question, yes raves still do go on in Toronto, but the rave scene is fairly underground nowaways and it's quite small.
