Yeah they are a tad bit...um.. energetic but thats why I love them. Besides he proves his worth, he's a trained search and rescue dog. Not many people get to take their dog to work. He once helped us locate a lost hiker who had fallen over a rock face. The guy was really banged up (concussion, skull fractures and broken legs) and had it not been for my dog he may never have been found. These dogs live for work. Its not the only time either, one other call my team and I responded to he helped us find a lost girl who had wondered off from her parents and had skidded down the steep end of a trail and broke her leg. She was hard to track down as she had slid into some dense underbrush and was unconscious, but my dog tore off and found her, barking wildly at us to hurry up, sometimnes he forgets we don't have the energy of a "2 year old ADHD kid on crack."

He's also an awesome birding dog, I love taking him duck hunting. I fire off my remington shotgun and he waits as the bird drops, not moving till I give him the word then BAM he's off liek a rocket, its actualyl really funny to watch. They're easy to please, all he ever wants is a pat on the head or maybe a scruff on the neck and he's happier than a pig in shit.

As crazy as he is I take a lot of pride in that big dumb beast, I couldn't ask for a better dog or a better buddy.
