Echo is right about the pulse, while editing can be done, it's is a pain on the real synth. Another problem can be the build quality - I've personally seen a lot of them break, and there is absolutely fack all you can do about unless you pay serious $$$$ to get it fixed.

The Korg ms2000r is a great synth, and really versatile for EDM, but itf you're just looking really for a bass synth, the moog (especially the voyager if you can afford it) is the best option it sounds so fat, the presets are amazing, programming it is a pleasure and most of the bugs are all gone now. It is really a classic synth and arguably one of the best ever made.

The SE1 is great for true bass sounds but very limited in it's scope. It is an option if you are just looking at a bass synth, but not worth the money when you compute how much more the voyager does (even at the extra price difference).

How do they usually break? I have the Rekon vst editor for my pulse, but it's right next to me and i'm so used to programming it, i always just reach for it, and just use the vst editor to save patches.

The pulse is actually a breeze to program once you spend a few days making patches. Now the microkorg, programming that is slow as shit no matter how long you've had it! lol. Gotta love the vocoder tho.

The SE-1 is just so expensive.. =(

I think that the Vengeance Pulse Demo sounds way better than the Korg Legacy Demo.. I'm sure both synths can do things the others can't. Don't forget Pulse is monophonic.. 1 note at a time.. while legacy can do pads and such. Not the best comparison anyway.

One thing you can't do with legacy is get real analog overdrive saturation by turning the osc volume all the way, or to really distort it overdrive so its clipping past like+20 on my analog eq. use a saw tooth and you awsome 100% analog teebee sound.

The reason i was asking about the Pulse is that you can pick them up for the same price/less than that of a softsynth

It comes with no effects tho, if I didn't have it plugged into my virus ti, i probably wouldnt have very much for with it lol.
