Maybe you did not read my response...ok I am spending too much time on here especially when someone mistakes my thoughts for spam lol
so this is all I'll write for now,
To add, good music is only good from someones point of view. Now if you define good as catchy and well produced, then good lyrics/vocals are touched in every genre. lyrics/vocals from any genre can also be remixed into dance/trance. I think the popular belief is that people believe dance music is completely different than the typical pop/contempory song when in many instances it is not.
Unfortunately many of the dance songs played on dance radio is not the best. This is just my opinion but they often sound fabricated, factory preset, terrible lyrics, and vocals and tend to be a bad first impression what people consider all dance music is like.

Dance music has all the elements, of verse, chorus, hooks, etc... and like in every genre there are many bad dance songs as there are many great ones.

listen to a couple of nice tracks with nice lyrics and vocals,
"Who Will Find Me" DJ Shah feat Adrina Thorpe
"Don't Forget Me" Way Out West
"Like a Waterfall" Jes

Faithless are easily the winners in this category in my experience. Possibly the only electronic genre that actually puts a lot of thought into the sung lyrics is trip-hop.
