Side-note: there's some some seriously suspect mixing around the 33 min mark, but all is still good.

interesting fact -

Both Four Tet and Alex Smoke traded their academic financial aid for hi-fi / professional drum-machines, synthesizers and sequencers.

this sounds like a mix done by RJT or Clovis.

Have it on a video I took from a float at San Francisco's Love Fest last year. Can hear the Audion in it now that I think about it, but I'd never even come across the tune itself until now.

Guys, I didnt get to read everyone elses review, but the cool track selection here is blatantly trumped by the atrocious mixing.

He ruins enfants and No Fit State by layering things over them that should not be layered. Plus the fact that No Fit State is a very simplistic track, it should have not anything layered over it IMO. Plus what he does layer on it is out of phase so it fucks it that much further. There's no need to cram 24 tracks into 70 minutes. Not only that but the tracks suddenly cut out at a lot of places dropping the energy level abruptly and significantly to the point where you think to yourself, "wow that was harsh"

If you need specific examples of this mix being totally fucked, skip to 28 and 33 minutes, tell me how you'd react if you heard this and you were out on the dancefloor. This mix is bad. Four Tet = awesome producer. Should leave dj'ing alone.

I'll be honest, it started off well and then (to me) completely lost direction and flow. All the tracks mashed together still sounded boring for the most part. Couple that with some very dodgy mixes and I'll go ahead and admit that this mix was not that great at all :/

Yeah I have to agree. I like the tracks, but his flow is so off. Falko Brockseiper's set totally trumps this.

he's the only dj ive heard that makes that track sound good. rule of thumb i go by, the more simplistic a track, the louder the volume needs to be to sort of fill the space with resonance and distortion from a large sound system.
