Eighth note, eighth note, eighth note.

Fucking monotonous, and usually combined with the most obvious and unimaginative chord progressions around. And the SAME FUCKING SYNTH SOUND every time.

Then we have the big break down where the low pass filter opens up and we get to hear the saw waves in their full glory! OMG what a rush! I haven't heard this manipulative little trick five hundred times before in every fucking mainstream trance production of the past decade!

And like...this track has a slightly different sequence of notes from the last twenty straight-eighth-note throwaway tracks I just heard. And it's in a different key! Such diversity and innovation!

Just STOP IT, people.

I heard a remix of Silence in a club a couple of months ago- might have been this one. However, I'm not stopping halfway through an LTJ Bukem mix to click on a Deadmau5-alike so I can't confirm.

Pretty sure nothing is worth stopping for to listen to this POS, especially a Bukem mix

You can basically imagine what it sounds like anyways...Delerium - Silence + Deadmau5 sound

I'm convinced no one actually likes this type of shit, people are just listening to it and playing it out because they're being told it's cool and they don't want to be seen as missing out. It's just so, so, so very bland and dull.

You'd hope that, but no.

A friend of mine who DJs purely for the "kudos" he believes it brings plays Deadmau5 tracks all the time, with Not Exactly being his favourite.

Every time he drops it he says "love this track, so good", as if it's his secret little gem that no one's ever heard, even now, 6 months after the song was popular.
