I think it is about time for Iraq to start paying us back for their freedom with free oil.

Hahaha.. now nots just Bush, but even US citizens want exclusive rights to subsidised oil from Iraq.. afterall that was the whole purpose behind the war in first place!

And if you think oil gonna hover at the present price.. than think again.. it will add another 50 dollars in next 6 months.. just wait for the hurricane season to punch in..

"Federal forecasters Thursday predicted a busier-than-average hurricane season in 2008, with as many as 12-16 named storms expected to form, of which six to nine should be hurricanes."

I had the distinct pleasure of seeing Matt Simmons give a speech last month. If you're not familiar with him, Mr. Simmons is one of the early theorists of "Peak Oil," a call he started to make in the early 90's. He has done the work and research, visited Saudi Arabia and looked at their oil fields as well as the statistics and has come to some very scary conclusions. If you have the time and desire, I highly recommend reading his last book, Twilight in the Desert.

I look at it the same way/ Eventually oil will become unfeasable and we'll be forced to rush for alternative sources. So oil prices technically dont bother me at all (as stated by me many times before).

Interesting looking book, thanks. I'll add it to my next Amazon purchase list. I need new reading material!

I'd like to add that living in the city is MUCH more 'green' according to a wired article that I read. The worst are suburbanites such as myself. I believe it was based on carbon emissions and electric use.

ugh, I still remember seeing people on fast money on CNBC talking about how oil has to hit $100 a barrel before it falls back down. people talking about how oil was overpriced in the high 90's.
