Wing commander 2 in 3d would be great. Great plot, great music, gameplay etc.

Just a quick note. The real FF3 is out in the states on DS for quite a while now. As for FF6, however...

Isn't another early FF game being redone in the same manner as FF3 (3g graphics and all that?). At leasts that's the rumour i heard, but it was a whole back and have heard nothing else since so im guessing its not true. Woudnt mind having any of the SNES FF titles being redone in the way as FF3, as FF6 is my favourite FF game i have played (and i have played most of them (from the main numbered series i only missed 11 and 12).

As for which games i would like redone

Tie Fighter
Wing Commander
World of Xeen
A VI Network$ (if someone doesnt release something similar soon im bound to make one myself)
Grand Prix Manager (cant get the old one to work even with dosbox thats why i want a new one)


Anyway does anyone else think that most 2D games still look good today (for instance i dont really mind the graphics of the first zelda or FF and later releases like FF6 or secret of mana still look gorgeous even today) while the early 3D games that came just after them and were praised for their graphics said to be superior to the old fashioned 2D dont. Im not a graphics whore, i will play an old top down or side scrawler without hesitation, but i wont touch the first Quake again because those graphics make me puke (and the game is bad anyway). Doom on the other hand still looks good to me, hell even Wolf 3D looks good but Quake just imo looks like crap.

Delta Force 2

I think this is the only online military game where snipers have a lifespan of more than 10 minutes, given good position, cover, and ammo conservation. The voxel system really assisted in camoflauging snipers in grass and on top of hills. Also had to adjust the sight for bullet drop.

There are times where there would be sequences similar to:

You'd be scanning the hills for enemy snipers, and then suddenly you see a single muzzle flash and 2 seconds later, dead.

NovaLogic also went balls out providing 256 player servers for the action oriented and a (buggy) blueprint for transport helicopters.

I'd like to see what can be done with today's technology.

Final Fantasy IV was re-released on the DS with updated graphics and new gameplay elements in Japan, late last year. It's coming stateside soon (within the next 2 months) and later on in the summer in Europe.
