That sounds like my brother. The rest either doesn't or I would not know.

Personally I went without any physical contact other than the odd work-related handshake for almost two years and it bothered me a bit at times, but I certainly didn't feel like I was missing out on a "need." Of course being surrounded exclusively by people I hated probably overshadowed the ancillary effect of not having much physical contact with anyone.

This would be the largest purveyor of why you wouldn't care about physical contact with them. You choose not to associate or interact with people you are not forced, nor required to do so with.

a while ago my friend was in town and we were chillin at his mom's place, anyways we were in the kitchen, both really fucking tired from work and just spacing out. I look over and there's a fridge magnet, its a tall rectangle with an oval cut out of it, so you can put it over a picture of someone. the magnet was from wholefoods or something, and it said 'i'm organically grown!' and it had some picture of one of the kids of the house in it. for no apparent reason i walked over to his computer, and google image searched 'robot' and found a picture of a robot that looked just like that, looking straight forwards. i printed it out, and put it in the frame. i know its not that funny, but it still cracks me up to this day

I never said that they were like me, no one in my family or circle of 'friends' is like me. That image really doesn't make any sense right now. I don't see them as robots either, if that's what you're getting at.

I am not saying you ever said or implied they were like that. I was merely asking a question based on your response to the op's question. In light of this new information though, I really wonder what transpired for you to have evolved into this personality that has an ocd-like hate for touch in almost any way, shape, or form.

So do I. I think about my past a lot, and I have a few good theories, but there's no way to be sure which are correct, since I'm no professional. What I've posted only scratches the surface, but that's as far as I'll go (with anyone, I guess).
