All I said was I think that the thrillseekers album is quality. Now you call me a hypocrite? This wasn't a discussion this was you bringing a negative vibe to the thread.

and now its all hail and peace, although half of the cd is old music already, and overplayed by the likes of above & beyond and such.

Doesnt matter though as to me it looks pretty good, but it irritates me that if a top 10 DJ would release an album like this it would be labelled as commercial cow milking bla this bla that, and now its all good.
yeaaaaaaaahh.. Are we reading the same thread?

A few people already made points that the "RR" cd is a bit too rewound and 2nd, the usual "flamers" haven't posted here.

So.......... People probably don't care to reply to this thread (compared to an Armin thread) and it's probably only catered to Steve Helstrip fans.

I def don't see how this thread is "all good".

Just look at the entire first page. About 2-3 posts saying it's ok and 1 is because his remix is there. It's not getting the usual TA flame but it's not getting huge praise either!

true

(not discussing, just approving... just in case people start saying i dropped out of the discussion 2 posts back :P)

and btw bluesoy, i was not particularly pointing at you, but at my southern neighbors from belgium, who seem to have a habit to bite in every post that i make that isnt entirely neutral

it was just weird that everybody was discussing thrillseekers then outta nowhere you start defending Armin ... that's enough bait for most TAs to start biting

Interesting comments... It would be more intersting to see how some of your playlists might look, assuming you're looking for 30 upfront tracks on a compilation. I bet no one here can name 30 DECENT trance records that are either current or just about to surface, for example...

The nature of the industry these days dictates that tracks need to be released within 2 to 3 weeks of them first being played out by the likes of Armin, if they're to sell in any quantity. This is because tracks get leaked and spread across the net like wild fire. Few people who download a track illegally then go on to buy a legitimate copy.

You must also take into account that commercial CD releases require 6 weeks MINIMUM for manufacturing and distribution. Given the short shelflife of trance music, and the amount of online radio shows, is it any wonder compilations look out of date before they hit the shelves?

If you don't like the look of a comp, or want to support the artists that work so hard to bring you this music, don't buy it. Simple
