I doubt Luciano cares what the fuck the GU series is doing these days. Rightfully so.

As for your first comment, I need to remind you that this CD is being sold, for money. Maybe you and I have downloaded it, and don't really care, but if I paid for this release you can be sure as hell that I'd be pissed off. But then again I'd get to see the track list first and make my decision then. On the heels of MANDY's and Steve Bug's releases, as I mentioned, Luciano's effort does not come off as very impressive.

So, when you buy mixed compilations you are buying tracks?

When you get a mixed compilation, what you are getting is a cohesive string of music that the DJ arranged for you. If you want to buy separate tracks then go to Beatport and buy them separately.

If you're bringing money to the table, then I guess you could say the same thing for live sets, don't you think? You are paying money to go to a party and listen to tracks you've probably listened before on another party.

and also, as Clovis said:

I think everyone would appreciate good discussion on music, not worthless 3rd grade shit from someone like you who clearly doesn't get anything outside your electro-house bubble. We get it. So quit inserting your 2 cents into threads about music you don't understand. Nobody cares.

Your comment was ridiculous. Why would Fabric stop putting cds out? They're what the Global Underground compilations were about 4-5 years ago. The real question should be when is GU going to stop putting out compilations. They're pretty much defunct by now.

Out of curiosity, since when do you consider the GU compilations to be defunct? I mean they haven't been the same after #31, which i don't like, but I'm hoping that they'll go back to progressive house soon.

It's been downhill ever since Danny Howells Miami.

# GU028 Nick Warren, Shanghai, Release Date: July 18, 2005
# GU029 Sharam, Dubai, Release Date: October 3, 2006
# GU030 Nick Warren, Paris, Release Date: February 19, 2007
# GU031 Dubfire, Taipei, Release Date: April 2, 2007
# GU034 Felix Da Housecat, Milan, Release Date: May 12, 2008
# GU035 Nick Warren, Lima, Coming soon

Talk about lack of originality. Maybe defunct was the wrong word to use, but I just see them grasping onto a style of music that doesn't really speak about the current state of dance music anymore.

To the "current state" that is most relevant to your interests maybe. *
