Last night I had jalapeno and chedder brats, supper awesome. Nice spice, my friend usually gets habenero brats, which are a bit spicier. The jalapeno ones were just right.

sounds delicious, but you should have used fresh diced jalapenos.

for the record, i will eat anything that consists of red meat + blue cheese. our recent favorite has been burgers with grilled fresh pineapple rings, bacon, and blue cheese... all melted together under the broiler.

I did state that fresh jalapenos would be ideal, I just didnt have any. I prefer the blue cheese cooked into the meat over having it as a topping. Pineapple ring might have been a solid touch. I will have to try that.

sorry, reading comprehension are hard.

i've never tried it with the cheese cooked into the burger, but i may have to experiment with that. my biggest gripe is that it's hard to get crumbly cheese arranged perfectly proportioned on top of the burger without having half of it fall off.

The main idea was to prevent the burger from drying out and the cheese did that and added some of that flavor too. Some will add an egg to the ground meat for the same reason but I didnt really want to do that.
