I think people have to keep in mind that the first year of any event of this callibre (and with new ideas in general) is bound to have kinks to work out, as they're not going to know exactly how to organize and execute everything just by seeing how other people have done it.

I think it's a great idea, and wish them luck this year, and hope that this'll last.

I want this to work. I really do. But from where I sit right now, it looks like way too much marketing hype and way too little substance.

And I don't mean to turn this into a political debate but they use far too many references to "eco-friendly" and "carbon footprint" and that sort of shit. I don't care what your position is on those issues, an event like this is supposed to be about the music and to a lesser extent the party/crowd, not some damn enviro-socialist hippie's political agenda. Honestly, that freaks me right out, what possible reason could the organizers have to include it?

I dunno? The eco friendly part could be a way the promoters think to make it more 'accessable' politically? A way around having the government bitch about it being the kind of rave/parties they banned to begin with?

It's a good idea overall but I'm with Az and Desidel, advertising for it is crap, where are the headliners?? Co-operation is key for something like this imo.
