awwwwwwwwwwwyea! got my xone:32 in the mail today at lunch. only had about 20 min to play around with it, but so far it's quite astounding. The EQ's are VERY smooth, and the fader is amazingly smooth. in just a few min i could tell it's a MAJOR step up from the stanton RM3S i had before.
the VCF filters ! they are TIGHT! you can use them like an EQ, they can really enhance a transition of make a buildup much more earthshattering... or use the resonance to add some very interesting sounding effects.
I'll post more about the mixer after i have a week or two to use it... but the first 20 min of use totally exceeded my expectations.
some people have complained the channel faders and crossfader dont feel very good, and are a bit loose... I must disagree, the crossfader is quite tight, with a smooth travel.. and the channel faders have a very useable curve and are also tight... no loose stuff on this box (we'll see if my daily abuse loosens them up, though)
BTW, i did find a place that has these for a bit under $700, new... send me an online messeage if you'd like that info ...
ok, so time for the complaints:
a) it's too long to fix in my coffin
b) the level controls for the channels are on the rear...
c) the headphone volume is on the front..
d) the line/phono selector is on the rear by the connector
all pretty minor.. basically, the physical design leaves a little to be desired, but dont forget this is a 10" mixer... most 10" mixers are very cluttered on the front, but the weird design makes the front planel spacious and easier to deal with
