my take on the evening
luckily we got there early, thank god no line up
as everyone said picotto was sick, he wouldnt let up, the bass kept poundin, as for the rest, i thought tall paul and max graham could have played better, the arrows set was pretty good, and they used the craziest lighting for his set, i didnt stay for xl as he sux ass
my only real complaint was the vibe, it wasnt the usaul party vibe younormally get from a 514 party, it seemed after picotto like evryone was just standing around, no one was dancing, maybe it was because picotto kicked there ass too. im glad to hear that the webmonstah had good time in mtl, as i said the parties here are like no others. it was also good to meet mastercongo, by chance we met as hes was leaving
peace
oh ya and 4$ coat check wtf?

hmmm...well for all those peeps that waited in line for hours...hopefully it was your first time at a 514 party because you should have known to come early to those things. yes I know you don't get the full rush of entering a packed arena but at least you don't gotta freeze your ass off.
Anyways from past experience, we showed up very early @ like 10:15 and no waiting and the security was not that hard core, at least I didn't have to take my shoes off. Like they wrote, they weren't able to hire more security because they charged double because of the holiday.
So upon entering, there was hardly no one there but at least we could sit and wait for the party to start inside where it was warm. I really didn't find Preach that good, I guess I expected something else since you guys said he was good. Well, when Tall Paul came on, I started to have a good time. His sets always are different from all other DJs I have leard because he plays so much variety. Very cool!! At that time I met up with DJHappy who I saw over and over again through out the night. Such a nice guy. As for Max Graham, since I haven't heard him in a while i didn't have any expectations. He was good and I think its very cool that he constantly changes his sets. Obviously he is going to spin according to who spun before him and who is spinning after him and for how long his set is. The guy must have like a million records. During Max's set, I almost had a heart attack when I saw Swamper because I didn't know that he was going to be there. I even shared my traditional 4:20 orange. Anyways, the party was amazing. I also felt a different vibe but it was a bad kind of vibe so I didn't complain. There was a lot of room to dance and no pushy people were around. The only scary thing was i also saw a girl be taken away on a stretcher and i have never witnessed that before. if you wanted to stay away from the freaky stuff, then it was pretty easy or maybe I'm just blind.
Mauro Picotto hurt me!!! I really enjoyed his set and i thought it was going to be 2 hours only but it was 3 so that was very very cool. I love his style because it gets me really really pumped and hyper. and then of course lefleche had to ruin everything. at one point i saw a dude actually calling out for lafleche while mauro was on, i thought i was going to tackle him to the ground, but to each his own. Over all i had an awesome time at the party but a shitty thing happened on the way out of montreal, we go stopped by the police for speeding because the ******s set up a speed trap and they were pulling over a whole bunch of people. what a bad end to an awesome night. too bad I didn't see too many more of you, oh well, maybe next time. i did meet some peeps from ottawa but i didn't think to ask them if they were tranceaddicts.
Swamper, me and my boyfriend Ray (a.k.a. Gamma on this site) got to hang with Max Graham for a few tunes. that was pretty cool and he said that spinning that night was really hard and I'm sure most of us picked up that first track being all fucked up but we told him that he was amazing none the less.
