140 to 150 bpm is good for my tech-trance and hard-trance.

I mixed with a friend of mine the one day, and he has a BPM unit. Well I was mixing and I noticed that I usually make all my songs come to about 139 - 141. I heard this is because every person has a speed that they are most comfortable with.

To check yours all you have to do id like startmixing and then after about 10 mins when the music feels comfortable just count the beats and see where it is at

for trance like the types that you d/l on TA i say it should stick to around 132-138, but for me i like the more energetic trance like Paffendorf-be cool, Dave 202-at the end or Barthezz-Infected and they sound better at 140-142. i think any thing over 150 and it has got to be hard trance or hard house or hard techno for that matter. dont listen to much of it wish i had more of it because i really like it but im stuck w/o my own computer so i dont have any choice but to keep listening to the smae TA burns that i D/L a year ago. unless i go out in town to but a new album. yay for me Cyber Trance vol. 3 is coming out today!!!!!!

140 BPM is not that fast. Ever try line dancing? Now that is fast. Old polka music... etc. I was talking to some guy who likes a lot of old music and said most of these techno raver kiddies would drop of exhaustion from some of that older stuff.

i prefer a range of BPMs. hearing the same speed and the same type of sound over an hour gets pretty boring for me.
