i agree, i think the way you've been spinning in the beginning dictates completely what you end up throwing on after a couple of hours, whether it's conscious to you or not

many times when i start a mix just for the hell of it, i'll have a transition already devised in my head and i go from there.. so the first few mixes or so i perhaps think too much about what i'm going to play next, whereas an hour or so in it feels more natural and automated. i dunno

six and a half hours.

i did play 12 nonstop with a friend at his house because we had nothing better to do, but it wasn't really a set as much as messing around. we'd switch when either would get tired, ordered pizza and ate it on a table enxt to the decks, and such.

I have done a five hour set after having a night of no sleep (studied for an exam) and minimal food. Those sets are far from fun, make sure eat well and stay rested - makes for a much more enjoyable set.

Hmm, my normal Fridays and Saturdays are 9pm-2am, so 5 hours. I've had longer before, though, I think 10 hours has been my longest single set.
