really starting to feel like there aren't enough hours in the day, i spend many hours reading up on here and learning new stuff, it's hard to find time for production though when I'm trying to balance it with sorting new tunes and working on new sets and the like...

honestly i probably spend a good 3 hours everyday either producing or learning more on how to produce proper...

i have to agree with many others in that i'm really wondering how the big name producers manage to squeeze so much time into the studio.. i hear a loop and fiddle with a synth for a few hours and i'm already starting to go insane and hear it in my dreams... how do some guys do it 8+ hours day in and day out...

although i guess when they look at it as making their next paycheck, it would keep them focused..

Well, I very much doubt they "fiddle with a synth for hours". Once you have a few years under your belt you're pretty familiar with your gear and workflow, you know what combinations of sounds will work really well. It's not about fiddling for hours, it's about deciding what kind of sounds you want to put together, then going to the appropriate synth for each sound.

Once someone has done many things incorrectly, many many times, they learn not to do those things anymore and instead do what works. Experience is great - every mistake, every rejection, every period of frustration is an opportunity to learn and grow and become brilliant.

AuxiliaryInput, I also think the place you live is boring, and smelly, and is probably the worst place on the planet. Do you want to be friends and collab?

Heh heh heh.

Actually, I've never been to Lillestrom. It's probably a beautiful place.

I haven't finished a track in months, but I still use my Axiom to play sounds on my synths, I also enjoy mixing tracks with ableton live as well, programming synths and reading up on techniques online.

And I do that a few hours or usually more a day.
